Jeffrey Alpert has been active in the real estate development, construction and property management industries in the Greater Kansas City area for the past forty four years. He is a graduate of George Washington University, Class of 1973, having received his BBA with a major in finance and a minor in urban planning. He joined The Alpert Companies, founded by his father in 1963, immediately after graduation, and became president of the company in 1988.
Mr. Alpert began his career as a project manager, his first being Mission Lake, a 300-unit, $25-million mixed-use development in south Kansas City, which, in 1974, received a Gold Award from the Kansas City Home Builders Association.
Since that time, Mr. Alpert has been involved in numerous innovative residential and commercial projects, most recently Park Place, an urban-styled mixed-use project in Leawood, Kansas. In all, Mr. Alpert has developed more than 1700 home sites, constructed more than 250 homes, 500 apartments and condominiums and built or renovated more than 1,000,000 square feet of offices and retail space.

Mr. Alpert is a past president of the Greater Kansas City Home Builders Association, having served on its Executive Committee for seven years and its Board of Directors for sixteen years. He also serves on the Board of Directors of the National Association of Home Builders.
He is a past president of the Jewish Community Campus of Kansas City, a past member of the Board of Directors of the Jewish Federation of Kansas City, past chairman of the building committee for the new home of Congregation Beth Shalom, and currently a member of the Board of Trustees of the Jewish Community Foundation of Greater Kansas City and a member of the Board of Trustees of the Johnson County Community College Foundation.
He and his wife Cathy have two children and five grandchildren, and reside in Leawood, Kansas. Save & Exit
